Terme di Salsomaggiore represents a point of reference in the international spa panorama, offering cutting-edge spa facilities with a very rich salso-bromo-iodic water and a sulphurous water among the richest in Europe. Located in an area considered among the healthiest in Italy without any industrial settlement nearby, they offer ad hoc spa treatments for the health of everyone, including the children.

At the Terme Zoja in Salsomaggiore we find traditional spa treatments (baths, mud baths and inhalation treatments), but there are also specialists available from the Centre for rehabilitation in thermal water, the REHAB Rehabilitation Centre and the Inhalation Centre.

At the Terme Respighi in Tabiano, however, called the “breathing spa” par excellence, they use sulphurous waters that flow from springs and wells and represent a precious ally for health and well-being. Thanks to their natural healing properties (they are rich in sulfur, combined with calcium, sulphates, bicarbonate and magnesium), these waters are mainly indicated in the prevention and treatment of numerous pathologies of the bronchi, ear, nose, throat and skin, both in adults and children.

The nursing home “Villa Igea” is part of the spa offer of the Terme di Salsomaggiore and Tabiano and is a center for physical therapy and rehabilitation.

It has sixty beds and a team of medical specialists and consultants in the field of physiatry, rheumatology, neurology, orthopedics, sports traumatology, pain therapy and internal medicine. It is proposed as a regional and national reference center for orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation and is accredited with the National Health Service.

The nursing home also has a gym equipped for patients and the rehabilitation treatment can be integrated with individual or collective hydrokinesitherapy with salsobromoiodic water in a thermal pool at the Terme di Salsomaggiore.
