M.E. Group is an Italian holding company founded by Emilio Mondelli in 1989 with the aim of grouping together owned companies operating in different sectors under a single name while maintaining the peculiarities of each one clearly distinct. A large family that has grown over the years and continues to grow by always facing new investments and new challenges in Italy but also in Europe. Its specific know-how and core-business is based on the Real Estate sector focused on logistics, industrial but also commercial and residential. M.E. Group today operates in various sectors in addition to Real Estate: transport, personal care and wellness, sports and viticulture.
The History
M.E. Group was born in 1969 when Emilio Mondelli founded Messaggerie Express, a transport company that positioned itself in the market with the peculiarity of carrying out special transport and logistics, specializing in the world of hi-tech, medical, banking, radioactive and dangerous goods within the ADR classification at a national and international level.
On November 2nd 1978, Messaggerie Express became M.E. Holding S.p.a; the history of the Group began and until 1989 it would mainly include companies in the logistics sector (MITSafetrans, MIT S.p.a, T&TI Cargo Line S.r.l.). In the 1990s, the business was diversified and opened up to transport with national and international linehauls, transport of radioactive material and professional WEEE management.
In 1989 the Group lands in the Real Estate market with the M.E. Real Estate division, the construction and opening of the first warehouse in Milan for its headquarters. From here, further owned logistics and industrial warehouses were built in Milan, Rome, Casirate (MI), Alessandria, Turin, Modena and Reggio Emilia. At the same time, the company also developed civil constructions in Milan, Monza, Piacenza, Bologna, Florence and Arezzo, establishing Real Estate as its core business.
In 2005, the Group also reached Europe through investments located in Romania with the company M.E. International Business S.r.l. The Real Estate sector expanded over the years; in addition to dealing with the logistics / industrial sector, it also looked at investments in the residential sector, sometimes involving historic buildings in Italy. Over the years, the Group has continued to diversify its business, aiming to operate in various sectors such as healthcare, wellness, sports and viticulture.
