Viticulture
Poggio Winery is located in the Parma foothills, inside the Poggiolo estate, the highest point of Cangelasio, the hill that dominates Salsomaggiore Terme. The estate covers 28 hectares and inside we find vineyards, olive groves, woods, orchards and a private lake of one hectare.
Fifteen hectares are dedicated to the vineyard that includes both international varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, but also local varieties such as Barbera, Bonarda and Malvasia Aromatica di Candia, the queen grape of the province of Parma and Piacenza.
In addition to the production of Oltre-Contemporanei wines, the winery offers cultural and personalized tastings giving the italian and international public the opportunity to discover an Italian wine culture in an exclusive environment.
The simple tasting at Il Poggio Winery turns into an immersive journey that combines culture and gastronomy of the territory. The offer is completed by events proposed with a weekly calendar and private events created ad hoc.
